Danielle Larsen is an esteemed Alaska Native Artist, whose passion for the beauty of Alaska and its diverse wildlife is ever-present in her artwork. As a painter, Larsen’s works reflect the serene landscapes and vibrant creatures that inhabit her home in Alaska. An amateur birder, she draws inspiration from the skies and is captivated by the intricate details of her subjects. Having grown up in Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula, Larsen’s deep connection to her surroundings is evident in her art. She has been honored to exhibit her pieces at the prestigious Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival, where her masterful use of color and texture continues to captivate and awe audiences. Through her art, Larsen shares her love for the wondrous world of Alaska and its beautiful creatures, inviting viewers to appreciate its irrefutable charm and magnificence.

Festival Kick-Off at the Pratt

Kick-off your Shorebird Festival weekend at the award-winning Pratt Museum. Come explore the cultures, science and art of the Kachemak Bay region. Tour museum exhibits, including the newly updated Gull Island Exhibit, which includes the only live bird cam from the Kachemak Bay seabird rookery for gulls and puffins. Explore the Botanical Garden exhibit, homestead garden and historic Harrington Cabin. Take a walk on our forest trails, which tour the nearly 10-acre campus of the Pratt Museum.
