Volunteer for the 2026 shorebird festival
The shorebird festival is made possible by our incredible volunteers, and we’d love for you to be one of them!
Since the festival is a partnership between Friends of Alaska National Wildlife Refuges and the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuges, so too are our volunteers! Sign up to volunteer through Friends through the form here, and sign up to volunteer through USFWS via the button at the bottom of the page. Either way, we will reach out to you closer to the festival with more information about scheduling. Thank you!

Please note: volunteers for USFWS will be required to attend a volunteer orientation prior to the festival at Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge. The date for that orientation is TBD.
